After suffering a heart attack and a stroke on Tuesday, the Egyptian president was unconscious and was placed on life support.
Two sources close to the Egyptian security services deny the state of “clinical death” and claim that Mubarak is “unconscious and on life support.”
Hosni Mubarak is unconscious and was placed on life support, said on Tuesday military officials, who deny that the former president is clinically dead a little over a year after his overthrow by the street after 30 years at the head of the Egypt.
While the country is plunged back into political tension, the MENA news agency had earlier reported that the former president, aged 84, was “clinically dead”, quoting medical sources.
Three sources within the army and security services, which still wield power since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak in February 2011, however, assured that the former president was kept alive. These same officials have refused to use the phrase “clinically dead”........
