June 2, New Delhi: In an interview with film journalist Anupama Chopra in Cannes, Sonam said she’d like to “give Katrina a bouquet.” When asked the reason behind it, she said: “I don’t know how she does it. You need a certain kind of commitment and a certain kind of shamelessness to do certain things.”
She does not believe in playing with words just for the sake of it. If she has it in her mind, she would let it be known in the most articulate of ways. Sonam Kapoor, who is hardly seven films and five years old in the industry as an actress, begs to differ.
Her learned father, Anil Kapoor, has also claimed in the past that the kind of films that his daughter has rejected till now would itself make for an envious filmography for anybody. But she does not do films where she just has to play the eye-candy. Sonam Kapoor has only perpetuated the claim further, but this time she did not shy away from quoting a top actress’ example to advocate about it.
